434. Adam Henry Bedinger (54) Photo was born in 1808 in Pennsylvania. He served in the military on 15 Feb 1862 in Company I, 12th Michigan Infantry. Mr. Bedinger was filled with a patriotic desire to assist his country, and enlisted in Company I, Twelfth Michigan Infantry, and was attached to the Army of the Tennessee. He participated in the battle of Pittsburg Landing and Shiloh, and was crippled in the last-named engagement.

He served as a private at age 54, and no braver soldier fought for the Stars and Stripes. Mustered Feb. 15, 1862. Deserted (or mustered out) at Bolivar, Tenn., Sept. 25, 1862. He died on 6 Sep 1881 in Oronoko, Berrien County, Michigan, USA. He Resided in Michigan before 1851. He Resided in Berrien County after 1851. He was buried in Rose Hill Cem., Berrien Springs Berrien Co., MI. He was married to Rachel Christopher on 20 Apr 1829.
